2018 @ Coastal Counseling

Counseling

Coastal Counseling is located in Manteo, N.C. on Roanoke Island.  We are a community based practice and believe in the ripple effect. Each person who gets support and makes positive changes will have an impact on those around them. We work with individuals to build stronger families. In turn, strong families help to strengthen our community. We are all in this together.

Substance Abuse Treatment

As a Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist, Chris offers substance abuse treatment to adolescents, adults and families. Individual and family sessions are available at Coastal Counseling in Manteo. He believes addiction is a disease and can be overcome with appropriate support and care.  People come to treatment for a variety of reasons, including loss, legal issues, marital stress or employment problems. Regardless of your motivation for taking the first step, seeking treatment is always a sign of strength.

An important part of his work involves assisting children and teens from homes where substance abuse has been an issue.  It is vital for children to recognize that they are not at fault for the problems in the home. Children did not cause, can not control or cure their environment but they can learn to cope.  Chris provides support, understanding and offers coping skills to his clients.
